baby #2: week 30
october 14 - 20
what has been going on this week: eeek we are in the 30's now (how did that happen?), things are getting real! this week i went to the mill city market with karen, and we got together with our friends scott & cori and their girls.
size of baby: according to my app, he weighs "almost" 3 pounds (but i think he's gotta be over 3) and measures 15.7 inches. the size of a head of cabbage.
maternity clothes: just rotating my little maternity wardrobe. i change into "comfy clothes" as soon as possible when i get home, because apparently stretchy maternity clothes aren't "comfy" enough.
purchases: azalea wore baby legs leg warmers when she was a baby, so i thought baby boy could use some of his own (since hers were super girly). so i ordered him a couple pairs that were on clearance with free shipping :)
symptoms: the usual: broken out skin, hungry and tired a lot, braxton hicks contractions, some ligament pain, but overall i feel pretty good! evenings/sleeping are the most uncomfortable.
movement: he's still a mover and a shaker in there. makes me laugh!
gender: baby BOY!
food cravings/aversions: add another jj's veggie sub to the count :) i also have a pretty bad sweet tooth...
morning sickness: still that liiiiitle bit of nausea in the morning. i've just accepted that it probably won't go away. at least it doesn't last long.
what i miss: can't think of anything!
best moment of the week: passing my gestational diabetes test! (see below)
what thatcher is saying: things are looking better on the name front. we actually have one name that we both really like. not sure if it will be the name or not, but at least we are getting closer.
sleep: getting less comfortable due to potty break, sore hips/legs and back. a pillow for propping sometimes helps, but not always. as much as i'm looking forward to starting the nursery, i have to admit i'm not looking forward to sleeping on a different floor than the bathroom (and azalea!)
what i'm looking forward to: halloween! azalea seems really excited for it this year (probably because i told her she gets candy). haha. also, going fabric shopping with my friend kris this weekend!
doctor: i finally had my one hour gestational diabetes test (they forgot to order the lab weeks ago when i should have had it). i failed the one hour test with azalea and had to go back for the three hour, so i was a little nervous, but i passed this time! and i found out just a couple hours after i went in, thanks to my electronic medical records. yay for technology! i also had another pre-natal appointment, which was short and sweet. my doctor measured my belly from the outside and it's sill right on track. thankful for good reports!

Yay for getting closer to a name. I can't wait to hear what we'll be calling your baby boy!
