weekend weekend
let's see...we didn't do anything friday night. we're usually pretty exhausted from the week by that point. we made breakfast dinner, played with azalea, and then relaxed after she went to bed. saturday morning i met up with my friend sarah for coffee. it was good to see her, it had been way too long! the months seem to fly by and i realize i haven't gotten together with some friends in a really long time. need to be better about that...it's good for my soul. ;) in the afternoon thatcher went to a friend's, so azalea and i hung out at home. we should have gotten out and done something, but it was cold and i couldn't think of anything to do. she was going sort of stir crazy by 5:00. oops. after she went to bed, thatcher and i ordered pizza and watched "the secret life of bees." i haven't read the book, but i thought the movie was really good!
sunday we headed to the mn zoo to meet liz, joe, jake, and max. they were nice enough to let us use their guest pass, which makes it very affordable to go. going to the zoo in the winter isn't as fun as in the summer (you are pretty limited to the indoor stuff), but walking along the indoor trail with all of the exotic animals, plants, and trees makes you feel like you are in a warm jungle :) the last time we took azalea to the zoo, she was only 3 months old. she was a little more interested in her surroundings this time, but i think it'll be a while before she really enjoys it.
checking out some fish
we also went to discovery bay and watched a dolphin training session. it was so cool! who doesn't love dolphins? they are so darn cute and charming!
the group, minus thatcher
watching the show with dada. we can't wait to go back!
