2 month appointment

i know i said i'd just update azalea's 2 month post after her well baby check up, but who am i kidding? i'm a blogger and a new mom who still thinks every little milestone in my daughter's life needs documentation, so it's getting it's own post :) 

our girl had a great appointment today. we went to the doctor so many times in the first few weeks because of azalea's concerning weight loss that i started to dread going there, but i've gotten over that luckily. we love azalea's doctor! (i mean, i cried in front of the lady the first time i met her and she was so sweet about it!). she said azalea looks perfect! such a relief to hear. she was impressed to hear that azalea is sleeping 8-10 hours a night now (seriously!) and that i'm still pumping for her. our girl, pre-shots:

they weighed her and measured her length and head circumference. here are the stats:

weight: 10 lbs, 11 oz (50%)

length: 23 inches long (75%)

head circumference: 39.5 cm (50%)

poor thing had to get 3 shots in her thighs and one oral immunization. she screamed when they gave her the shots and we kissed her and held her hand until we could pick her up. after some snuggles and her bottle, she was feeling much better. see?

she's been pretty sleepy this afternoon and evening. we took her temperature to make sure it wasn't high, but so far she seems fine. even some smiles this afternoon. we go back again at 4 months!
