baseball playoffs, puppy yoga, spring sickness

 it felt quiet around our house last week with grandma and grandpa gone.

last tuesday ashford had piano. 

wednesday was a hot day (for may...in seattle. ha). 81 degrees. ashford had some friends over after school and then i took azalea to an orthodontist appointment. in the evening, he had his first playoff game for baseball. the playoffs is just the four teams in his division and it's double elimination. they lost pretty badly to his friends raleigh and starryn's team, which was a bummer. but all the boys were there, so they managed to take a team pic.

thursday after school kay and i had a check-in with the 5th grade teachers about graduation. i can't believe it's just a couple weeks away now! eek. 

friday after school was another graduation meeting (yes, really), this time with the parent committee. we got a lot done! and it was also fun :) thatcher was at the property all day, so we had a late dinner with him when he got back. 

saturday morning ashford woke up sick. fever, headache, sore throat. :( a couple of his buddies have been sick recently, so i'm not surprised. the biggest bummer is he had to miss his playoff game that day. they ended up losing 4-14, so now the season is over for them. in the morning, azalea and i went to...puppy yoga! it was part of my mother's day gift. the class was held in belltown. 45 minutes of yoga followed by 30 minutes of playtime with puppies. our class had australian shepherds that were born in march. they were soooo cute. we were both in heaven! 

we spent most of the rest of the day at home, except for a trip to ross for azalea, sisi, and me :) ashford slept a lot and tried to get better. 

sunday was day 2 of ashford's sickness. thatcher wasn't feeling the best either so he had to cancel his plans. and we decided not to take azalea to her last spring soccer game because the bridge was closed to get to that part of town. at least it was a nice day, so i could relax on the deck with my book. ashford struggled through the day and we decided no school for him on monday. sigh. 

now we're kicking off an interesting week. trying to get ashford back to healthy and keep azalea healthy because she leaves for 3-night eighth grade camp on orcas island tomorrow!
