last basketball game and first baseball game

 last monday ashford was supposed to have baseball practice, but it got rained out. ah, spring in seattle. :) 

tuesday i got together with kay to start pre-planning the 5th grade graduation. gulp! we'll have a larger group of parent volunteers helping us later in the spring. ashford had his piano lesson after school. 

wednesday afternoon after early dismissal from school, azalea and sisi did baking and crafts at our house for 4 hours straight! ashford hung out with friends at the park, then he had basketball practice from 6-7 then he had baseball practice from 7-8:30. wow. i'm really glad basketball is done for the season now, though it was a lot of fun. 

thursday we had no activities. woo hoo! 

friday azalea had her second spring enrichment program field trip - hiking near cougar mountain. she said the group hiked 7.5 miles! ashford had baseball practice again in the evening. thatcher and i watched a movie. 

saturday morning we had to get up early-ish for ashford's final basketball game. they ended up losing but took second place out of five teams in their league. not bad for ashford's first experience playing. 

we had a short break, then it was off to ashford's first baseball game of the season. thankfully it was dry and not too cold. they tied their game 9-9. 

we had nothing else the rest of the day. thatcher ran some errands, i read my book, the kids played video games. we had leftovers for dinner and thatcher and ashford watched a movie downstairs while azalea and i watched our own movie upstairs. 

sunday morning the kids slept in til 9:30, they must have needed it. we had waffles and bacon for breakfast. we spent most of the day at home, but i took ashford to get his hair cut in the afternoon. 

this week my first baby turns 14!
