back in the swing of things for march!

hello march! i know it's not quite spring yet (and summer is even further away), but i am mentally done with winter. after returning from florida, i packed away all my warm sweaters and took down any decor in my house that looks remotely wintery. good riddance! last week we were back to normal work + school routines, running errands, and meal planning. i don't have many pictures to share from the week.

last tuesday we had a random 59 degree day, which is definitely the warmest it's been since fall. that morning i had brunch at sabine with my friend kay to hear about each other's vacations the week before (she and her family went to mexico).

friday the kids and i went to kay's house after school for playdate/mom happy hour ;) that night our family made pizza for dinner and watched yet another ice age movie.

saturday morning azalea had a futsal game. it was a little chilly, but sunny, which felt so nice. ashford went to his friend arlo's house for a couple hours, then arlo came to ours. that's their preferred set up for when they play :) we relaxed at home all afternoon, got thai take out for dinner, and watched a movie.

every one slept in sunday morning, which was nice. we made eggs and biscuits for breakfast. we hung out at home, got groceries, and in the afternoon we decided to check out another park we've never been to. this one was on mercer island (which is accessible by bridge not far from downtown seattle). it was on the waterfront, had a nice playground, and a dog park. it was a beautiful day to get outside.

on the way home we stopped at a book store in our neighborhood so the kids could use some gift certificates they had. for dinner we made greek chicken gyros (a new favorite around here for every one - which is huge!). we ended the weekend with kid showers, video games, and our favorite youtube travel couple - kara and nate.
