outfits from the last 6 months

it's been 6 months since i did an outfit post, so i thought i would throw another one together. i used to post more of these outfit pics on instagram, but i really haven't in the last 6 months. i'm not sure why i stopped. sometimes i just take a picture on my phone and don't do anything with it. i've definitely been doing more in-person shopping lately than i've done in the past 2 years. every store has fitting rooms open once again and i have a newfound obsession with tjmaxx and marshalls. ha! i'm dreaming up what i will wear in florida and in the spring and summer, but here are some mostly fall/winter outfits.

1. the way google photos cropped these pictures for the collage isn't ideal, but this is my favorite new swimsuit i found at marshalls last summer. it is seriously the most flattering mom swimsuit i've had in years. it has a high neck, ruching in the mid section, and good coverage in the back. i love the olive green color, too! my hat was from nordstrom last spring. i never used to wear sunhats (or any summer hats for that matter), but they are a must for me now. the sunglasses are from fred meyer.

2. this was from my last haircut in september, i need to schedule another one so i can have cute hair again for 2 days ;) i was wearing one of my favorite target tees and a color block cardigan i got from amazon. i don't buy a lot of clothes from amazon (because it feels like a slippery slope), but this one i decided to order for some reason.

3. this tan tunic sweater i got at nordstrom rack last winter. it's sort of a fleecy material. the jeans are universal thread brand target skinny jeans. my purse is frye brand from nordstrom rack over a year ago. i only ever use one purse at a time (cognac brown) and i use them until they fall apart ;)

4. this plaid shacket (such a funny word for a shirt-jacket) i found at tjmaxx this fall. i love the neutral colors, but it has to be the perfect temperature to wear it since you can't put another coat over it. the leggings are z by zella from nordstrom rack (my fave leggings). my dark tan booties are from nordstrom rack almost 2 years ago now.

5. this beige sweater i found at value village, but it is from loft. i love neutral colored pull over sweaters but especially ones with detailing in the stitching. the leggings are the z by zella ones again.

6. this gray sweater i found at...wait for it....walmart. i hadn't been in one in at least 6 years, but i see a lot of cute clothes from there online, so i decided to check them out. i got this super soft gray sweater for $10 and while i'm sure the fabric will pill in no time, i really love it. these straight leg jeans are sts blue brand from nordstrom. i still wear a lot of skinny jeans, but i also love straight leg because they are looser and more comfortable.

7. this plaid top i found at goodwill. i always buy one plaid top from there every fall because they have so many :) the black tank is madewell brand from nordstrom and the leggings are from old navy. they were a random find there over a year ago and i love them because they have a faux leather stripe that runs down the sides.

8. more plaid! i could not resist this buffalo check shacket i spotted at ross one day. it's pretty cheaply made, but it's soft and cute. the gray long sleeved shirt i found at marshalls and i wear it all the time. it's super soft and cozy (one of my top criteria for clothes, especially in the winter). the jeans are kensie brand and i got them at ross too. they are a lighter wash and are super flattering fit.

9. just throwing this one in for fun. i have a growing collection of "holiday wear" that includes a onesie, a green and gold sweatshirt, and now this tee shirt. i found it at fred meyer while shopping for groceries and definitely needed it ;) i paired it with my black joggers that i've worn to death since buying them at ross a year or two ago.

i never know how to end these, so bye!
