treats, sportsing, mother's day

the kids had another good week of school. we're really in a groove with it now and before we know it, it will be summer. wow. speaking of summer, i signed the kids up for a couple day camps with friends at the end of june and end of july. it will be nice for the kids to have some time apart, and for me to have some "me time" because we will be back to spending 24/7 together for 2.5 months.

ashford's practice was rained out last monday. we played on the playground after school almost every day. on wednesday afternoon the kids and i picked up new library books and then took a trip to cupcake royale for a treat :) i had a "momosa" cupcake. champagne flavored with blood orange frosting. yum.

thatcher got his second dose of pfizer on friday - wahoo! friday night we got burgers from "red mill" and watched "the truman show" circa 1998. the kids thought it was entertaining.

saturday morning thatcher was feeling pretty under the weather from his vaccine. he spent most of the day resting until it wore off. i took the kids to ashford's baseball game in the afternoon. they tied with the other team. it was a beautiful day too. this is the only picture i took. ashford was doing pushups while waiting to bat, but of course he sat up before i could get a picture. he cracks me up.

sunday was mother's day. i got to sleep in (aka lounge in bed because i'm not capable of sleeping in anymore) and thatcher made popovers, eggs, and bacon. yum! we spent most of the day cleaning for our visitors. i had thatcher take our picture out on the deck. some nice ones and some silly ones ;)

thatcher and the kids got me these beautiful flowers, some cute cards they made at school, and a beach blanket that will arrive soon.

azalea had a soccer game in fremont in the afternoon. i took both kids because ashford really wanted to come to the airport to pick up grandma jan and unkie brandon and we needed to go immediately from the game. we picked them up and came home for dinner and dessert (made by thatcher). i'll have more from their visit next week.
