books read in 2020

my goal was to read 30 books this year (after reading 26 in 2019)...and i read 37! i'm impressed with myself considering our libraries have been closed since last march. ;) i bought more books in 2020 than i have in the past decade but most of them were second hand. i also borrowed books from friends. i love reading a variety of books, but read mostly fiction. here is a breakdown:

5 non-fiction: topics included voter suppression, racism, cooking, music, and travel.

32 fiction: including 4 elin hilderbrand books, the steig larson trilogy, 4 thrillers, 2 world war II novels

You might enjoy Alexander McCall Smith's books. I'd recommend starting with his 44 Scotland Street and Corduroy Mansions series, and his modern retelling of EMMA.
