3 lost teeth, field trip, pajama party

we all had a busy week, but ashford had the busiest week of all. his top two front teeth have been loose for quite a while and when we went to the dentist last week they told us "those will probably come out within a week". sure enough, tuesday night the first one came out...

the tooth fairy came and he was a happy boy.

then on wednesday afternoon while vanessa and ewan were over for a play date, the other one came out! i guess the tooth fairy is working overtime this week. i can't get over how much older he looks with his front teeth gone. it's such a short, cute stage.

wednesday night i went to a kindergarten parent gathering that i helped plan at "trailbend taproom". we had a good turn out (about 15 people) and it was a really fun night. i had never been there before and it was a great spot.

on thursday i got to help chaperone the all-kindergarten field trip to the pacific northwest ballet. it was the first (bus) field trip i've ever chaperoned and it was quite the experience.

for some reason, we got to the ballet and in our seats 40 mins before it started. entertaining a bunch of hungry, energetic 5 and 6 year olds for that time was tough! and the show ended up starting 10 mins late. we saw "cinderella" and it was a shortened, kid friendly version with a description of the story, costumes, and set in between each scene, which was cool.

friday the kids had their lego club after school until 4:45 and then we hung out at home the rest of the night and watched "jack rabbit" for a movie night.

saturday morning i went to the gym for the first time in almost 2 weeks. i still have this dang cold i just can't kick! every one i know seems to be sick right now. hurry up, spring! then we all took a trip to michaels to get some valentines supplies and a gift for ashford's friend raleigh. i took him to the birthday party in the afternoon. it was at a karate studio in greenwood. he had such a blast at the party - the instructor was fantastic!

in the evening, i took azalea to the pajamboree (pajama party) at school. ashford didn't want to go, so he and thatcher stayed home. she had a great time running around with her friends.

while we were gone, ashford lost another tooth! that's 3 in 4 days if any one is counting ;) what a week! i think he has one other loose one right now.

sunday we didn't have any plans. we hung out at home in the morning and i got groceries after lunch. my friend kay texted asking if we wanted to join her and her boys at the bouncy houses at arena sports in magnuson park, so we decided to do that! the kids bounced and ran around for 2 hours while we sat and chatted - it was great. we ended the weekend with tacos, video games, and showers.

it's a 3 day work/school week for us because we leave to go to DC on thursday!
