a whole lotta cardigans

i put together another outfit post, since it had been over 6 months since the last one. hope you enjoy another rundown of one of my favorite subjects ;)

1. this black floral dress is from loft. it's smocked on the top and super comfortable. it's a sleeveless dress, but i love that the colors also work for fall/winter. i made it a bit warmer by wearing a chambray top tied over it. the chambray top is also from loft, but i got it at goodwill. the cognac booties are from dsw last year.

2. this oatmeal colored tank top and pink-ish cardigan were both goodwill finds. i love slouchy fit sweaters, but they are really hard to wear a jacket over, so i always have to think about what i'm doing that day and if i can get away with no jacket. the jeans are old navy rockstars, which i've mentioned a million times and own 4 different pairs. the best budget-friendly jeans out there! the checkered flats were also a goodwill find. and yes, i was living on the wild side and wearing second-hand shoes with no socks. kinda gross. oh well :)

3. another goodwill cardigan! i buy so much stuff from goodwill, which makes it hard to link to my clothing pieces. the black tank top is from target ($8!). the gold necklace was a super-on-sale purchase from nordstrom years ago. the jeans are another pair of old navy rockstars (purchased at goodwill). the shoes are from ross. they are my grandma-athletic-hiking-suede-lace up loafers and i love them ;)

4. the black long sleeved top is from old navy. it's super stretchy and comfortable! the short sleeved cardigan was also a goodwill find (i was on a kick with buying cardigans there last fall). the necklace is from target and it's actually multi-colored, but the photo makes it look silver. the jeans are yet another pair of old navy rockstars. these were my favorite pair i owned, but i retired them this winter because the knee hole was getting super stretched out and they didn't look good anymore. ankle boots are from h&m at least 3 years ago. i keep thinking i'll need to replace them, but they're still kickin'.

5. this outfit i wore to go ice skating :) the black shirt i got from goodwill and i get a ton of use out of it. it's "swell" brand (like the water bottles) and it has a hood. the leggings i got for free at the co-working space. some one's friend started "the girlfriend collective" brand and had a bunch of samples. they are awesome leggings - i like them as much as my zellas from nordstrom. the puffer vest i got from old navy this fall. i love the color, but sometimes it feels a bit too puffy - especially the collar. the boots are from fred meyer this fall. i get a lot of use out of them and they are pretty warm/waterproof for being "fashion" snow boots.

6. the white pocket tee is from target ($8!). the gray cardigan is old navy via goodwill. the funny part is they still sell it at old navy. it love it, but it's super hot to wear. the necklace was hand made for me by a friend in minneapolis. the jeans are old navy rockstars. the booties are the same h&m ones.

7. admittedly this is my least favorite outfit of the bunch. as you can tell, most of my outfits are neutral colored these days. this green shirt sort of makes me uncomfortable. haha! it's the same shirt as in #4 above, but i like the black one much better. the scarf i bought from a pirate shop in port townsend (seriously!). jeans are old navy rockstars. shoes are from ross.

8. this black plaid shirt is from old navy via goodwill. i've discovered the key to wearing plaid shirts and not feeling like a farmer is to buy them in neutral colors. yes! believe it or not, these jeans are not old navy rock stars. the brand is dl1961 and i found them at goodwill. they retail for like $80 at nordstrom, so i was pretty excited by the find! boots are from fred meyer.

9. last but not least, more neutrals :) most of these pieces were already used in past outfits. the black tank is the same as in #3, the cardigan is the same as in #6 and the booties are in a bunch of pictures. i love the look of all black with a different colored cardigan over it.

with spring right around the corner, here's to warm weather outfits in my future!

Comments

My winter outfits are so boring right now, different colored dark bottoms, different colored cozy sweaters. I am so ready for spring and the rest of my wardrobe!
