culvers, girls night, minnesota zoo

friday night thatcher, azalea and i went to culver's for dinner. we try to be good about meal planning and cooking during the week, but by friday all bets are usually off. so, culvers it was! yum! after azalea went to sleep, we just relaxed and watched a movie. 

saturday we had no plans until the evening. we played at home, ran some errands and went for a walk. the sun was finally out and even though it was barely 40 degrees, it felt great!

in the evening, we went to thatcher's parents' for dinner and then split ways. i took azalea to my friend kirstyn's for a girls night and thatcher went to hang out with some friends. azalea and i didn't stay too long because it was nearing her bed time, but it was fun to hang out with them and enjoy some dessert. 

sunday morning we met up with our friends liz, joe, their boys jake and max, and their exchange student jula, at the minnesota zoo! 

it had been a few months since we last went and it's so fun to see azalea's reaction each time she goes. she seemed to enjoy it, but wanted to move through the trails really quickly, so that was a challenge. also, she was only interested in the animals that were active. :) we decided to buy a membership for the year. we're looking forward to many more trips...especially when (if? haha) it warms up and we can enjoy the outdoor stuff as well. we hung out at home the rest of the day, my brother came over for breakfast dinner and we were all in bed early!
