#onedayhh: a november 2024 day
i've been doing #onedayhh on social media and on my blog for 11-12 years. i don't do it every year, but when i know it's happening, i try to do it! if you don't know what #onedayhh is, it's a social media challenge where you share one photo of every hour of your day. i love seeing what other people's average day looks like and also going back and re-reading mine.
here's what we were up to on friday, november 15th, 2024:
6:30 am // i usually get up between 6:15-30, a good half hour before my kids because i like to eat my breakfast and drink my coffee in a quiet, peaceful setting :) it helps me to be more present and patient when it's time to get them up and ready. ashford gets up at 7:00, azalea at 7:20. i wake them both, but we could probably start doing alarms. they both just prefer to have me wake them. thatcher usually leaves for work around 7-7:15. if you are wondering, the tylenol is for my foot which stung from getting a mole removed the day before.
7:40 am // ashford leaves for school. he walks the half block on his own :) i love it because i can stay in my pajamas. azalea doesn't leave until 8:20ish and she walks to school with sisi. next year will feel totally different when they are back on the same schedule again.
8:30 am // with both kids off at school for the day, i finish cleaning up the kitchen from making breakfast and packing lunches. i also put some laundry in and start my work for the day. it's invoicing time for me, so i get started on that.
9:50 am // i pick up vanessa and we go get coffee at 'uptown espresso' in the village in magnolia. we get together every week when the kids are in school. we also stop into a couple shops in magnolia, including the grocery store to pick up a few items each. errand running buddies are the best.
11:15 am // i'm headed home to do more invoicing and also some tasks around the house. i took this picture when the light was red, but it changed right as i snapped it. i promise i didn't post it til i got home ;) it's been so rainy and dark lately that this sunshine felt amazing!
12:30 pm // i did some invoicing and folded the clean laundry and put it away, then heated up some leftover stuffed pepper casserole from dinner the other night. i always have a sparkling water with my lunch every day.
1:45 pm // i take a break from working to take out the recycling/organics and dust the living room. i can't wait til this table is full of christmas decorations! not long now.
2:25 pm // ashford normally gets out of school at this time, but he has sports club until 4pm on fridays, so i go to bartell drugs to pick up a prescription.
4:00 pm // azalea gets home from school and i let her in the house before heading to pick up ashford at school.
5:00 pm // i hadn't had a night out in quite a while, so i was excited when vanessa asked me to join her at a kickoff party for her friend kristina's new business. the party was held at kristina's home. there were about 25 people there and she had a really cool wine truck come to her driveway. i saw some moms who used to have kids at our elementary school and met some new people. vanessa and i left to go have dinner after.
7:30 pm // we went to 'the blue glass' in ballard, which i had never been to before. it was a really cozy place and the food was great. i got a fried chicken sandwich. we were pretty full, but it was still early when we finished, so we decided to go get dessert.
9:00 pm // we went to 'pie bar' in phinney ridge and they had these fun screens playing with cozy scenes. and the bumbleberry crumble pie was delish!
10:15 pm // i got home and everyone was still up :) thatcher and the kids watched a movie while i was gone. i told them about my night and then we all went to bed.
thanks for following along!
