march is here! january felt like 45 years and february felt like 45 seconds. it took a few days for us to adjust back to pacific time last week. i couldn't keep my eyes open past 8pm the first few nights. mini-jet lag is real :) i'm also trying not to feel too down about the weeks/months of "cold" and rain we have left to endure after being in sunshine and warmth for a week. dreaming about our summer plans is helping.
last tuesday ashford had an orthodontist appointment after school. he found out he only has to wear his retainer at night going forward (he had been wearing it day and night for the past 3 months). woo hoo!
wednesday evening was back to karate for the first time in a couple weeks. i took ashford and arlo there.
thursday i went out for lunch to 'matador' with kay for a little catch-up date. good food and even better company.
friday i met up with vanessa at 'venture coffee.' i always gotta catch up with my mama friends after a week away. thatcher worked from home because he came down with a cold. another reason to look forward to spring/summer! we made pizza for dinner and azalea and i watched a 2010 adaptation of 'anne frank' (azalea read the diary recently for school) and thatcher and ashford watched their own movie downstairs.
saturday we had no plans. azalea and i went to the library in the morning. we lounged around for most of the afternoon, thatcher was still under the weather. we picked up 'chipotle' take out for dinner and watched another movie.
sunday morning we made biscuits and eggs for breakfast. azalea and i ran some errands and then her friend penny came over for the afternoon. i took them to 'salt and straw' for ice cream and we went in some shops. we ended the weekend with 'young sheldon' and showers :) i always have to sneak a picture when i catch the kids snuggling.
thatcher's parents arrive later this week, we are so excited to spend time with them.
