a pretty quiet and almost pictureless november week
happy thanksgiving week! things really have slowed down here, as you'll see from my lack of pictures this week.
last monday night i had a PTA meeting at school after dinner. it's getting hard to drum up the motivation to leave the house at night now when it gets dark so early. ;) tuesday night ashford went to karate with arlo. wednesday i went to brunch with kay at hattie's hat. thursday night i took the boys to karate. the dojo is closed all of this week, so they will get a little break from that. friday thatcher went up to our property to check out the new driveway and to do some work. he also got us a firepit now that we have a safe spot for one.
it was the kids' last day of school before they get the whole week off for conferences and thanksgiving. we went into the weekend with very few plans, which was nice. friday evening we made a lazy dinner and watched a movie.
saturday morning we slept in and lounged around until ashford had a playdate at his friend trent's house. azalea and i went to starbucks and buffalo exchange. in the afternoon, thatcher took azalea and her friend lilah to see the new 'hunger games' movie in the theater. ashford and i hung out at home. i watched an amazon prime christmas movie and read my book. it was lovely. in the evening, we ordered thai take out for dinner and sisi came over to hang out with azalea for the night. ashford and i watched another christmas movie (yes, seriosuly - haha!). home alone 3, which we had never seen. it has different actors and a different story line, but it was okay.
sunday morning we slept in and made eggs and biscuits for breakfast. we spent most of the day at home. i randomly decided to clean out our arts/crafts cabinet that had become a disaster over the past 3 years. thatcher and azalea made grandma miller's (thatcher's great grandma) pumpkin bread for an assignment for azalea's kitchen science class.
we made pizza for dinner and relaxed the rest of the night.
this week the kids are mostly just hanging out with friends and we just have the 4 of us for thanksgiving this year. it worked better for my brother visit to in the spring instead. hope you have a good thanksgiving!
