cruffin, spring weather, baseball season begins

last tuesday morning i met vanessa at venture coffee. i spotted the prettiest pastry i've ever seen, so of course i had to get it :) it was a churro cruffin (croissant muffin) and it was just as delicious as it was pretty.

friday seattle had its first 60 degree day of the year, which is always an exciting milestone! i didn't spend as much time outside as i should have. that evening we made dinner and watched a movie with the kids. par for the course on friday nights.

saturday morning thatcher left very early to go up to our property. there was a plant/tree sale happening near there, so he picked up 8-10 and planted them. they are tiny. but should grow quickly.

while he was gone, the kids and i went on a little outing to the library and starbucks. it was another 60+ degree day and ashford had his first baseball practice of the season in the afternoon. i don't have any pictures because he got a ride from a friend, but i'm looking forward to watching him play again. sounds like this season is going to be a big step up from the past 2 seasons. i spent a fair amount of time on our deck reading my book in the sunshine, which was lovely.

in the evening ashford's friend arlo came over for a sleepover. we ordered thai for dinner and i was forced to stay up later than i like to make sure they went to bed ;) just kidding, they were good.

sunday morning we made pancakes and bacon for breakfast then arlo went home. we ran some errands and i took ashford to get a hair cut. it was a low-key day.

happy first day of spring!
