some outfits from 2021

2021 has so far proven to have more reasons to put on cute outfit and leave the house than 2020 did, but comfy is still key! it's so nice that pretty much every store has their fitting rooms open now, though i still do probably 50% of my shopping online. my go-to stores are target, old navy, ross, goodwill, and nordstrom. these pictures go back to january, so there's a mix of cold and warm weather outfits. i've also been incorporating a little more color back into my wardrobe. at least in the spring and summer :)

 1. gray puff sleeve sweatshirt i found at ross on clearance. i have washed and worn it many, many times and the inside has stayed so soft. jeans are straight-leg style STS blue brand from nordstrom. shoes are target and i love the leopard detail on them.

2. sun hat is from nordstrom. i got it at the end of the season last year on clearance. it gets a lot of action at the beach and the pool and on my deck. sun glasses are cheapies from fred meyer this spring. white t-shirt is universal thread from target. gray cardigan is from old navy. jeans are the same as the first picture.

3. i loooove this cropped cardigan from h&m. especially the buttons and big sleeves. i love wearing it with high waisted jeans. these are old navy jeans that i got at goodwill last fall. the green shirt underneath is jcrew, and i also found it at goodwill.

4. my white jeans only come out for special kid-free outings :) this particular night i was going to have wine on my friend kay's patio. i got the jeans from nordstrom last summer, but i don't see them online anymore. i have two colors of this gold/orange top. it's from target and it's the most comfortable breathable material ever. i haven't really worn long earrings during these masking days (because it's a pain), but if i'm going to be outside and i know i won't be needing to wear a mask, i put them on. these are leather earrings my mom got me in florida for christmas.

5. jumpsuit! i called this my unicorn jumpsuit because i've only found one other in the past few years that fits me (i have a long torso). this one is from old navy and it has a super long torso, it's stretchy, and really soft. i want to wear it every day. brown sandals are from target.

6. i bought this top years ago at a local consignment shop and didn't wear it once until this past mother's day (very unlike me). it's cute but completely see-through so it needs a camisole underneath. the jeans are the same as in pictures 1 & 2.

7. biker shorts! this is a trend that came back a couple years ago and took me a while to warm up to. i mean, anything you wore when you were 10 years old and is now popular with very young women for the first time is always unsettling ;) but they are super comfy and basically summer leggings, so i gave them a go. the nice thing is they are super inexpensive and if they aren't really your jam, you could just wear them at home. these are from target and i went up a size because they are tight as it is. the graphic tee is also from target. i have 2 different ones and they are fun, easy tees.

8. this was what a wore to the pool one day (my swimsuit, which you can't really see, is underneath). the tank top is a madewell whisper tee, which i was really into their tanks and tees for a while, but i've realized i like similar stuff from target just as much, if not more. the shorts are also madewell, but i found them at goodwill :)

9. black short sleeved shirt is a new day brand from target. easy comfy tee and you can't beat the price! i was wanting a maxi length skirt and found this one at goodwill, though the waist is a bit too big and there's no easy way to tighten it. gold sandals are from old navy and i wear them probably 5 times a week. i love them! i don't see them online anymore, but these are similar.
