a little sunshine, elliot bay park, the super bowl

 it was a pretty quiet week around here. we had all day sunshine last wednesday and it was so glorious! we spent a couple hours outside in the afternoon playing laser tag at the community center with friends and then on the way home the kids played with our neighbor friends in their yard. it made me excited for summer!

on friday night we made homemade pizza (which we do once a week), but i decided to change up my usual toppings and made a carmelized onion, mushroom, and spinach pizza for myself. it was delish! 

 

 

saturday morning azalea and i made a trip to goodwill right when it opened. we got some new books for the kids and me, and a couple shirts for the kids.  we hung out at home the rest of the day. in the evening, we got take out (red mill burgers again) and watched a movie. well, thatcher and the kids watched a star wars movie and i watched "the devil wears prada" in bed by myself. i could get used to this. ;) 

sunday morning we woke up to sunshine, so i declared we were getting out before the rain returned in the afternoon. it was a bit of a struggle getting out the door, as ashford had strong opinions on the matter. we decided to go to elliot bay park in interbay. thatcher and the kids had been before, but it was my first time. it was such a pretty place! it was fairly busy there, but not surprising since it was such a beautiful morning. 

 

 

we watched the super bowl in the late afternoon (perks of being on the west coast). it's my once a year football watching experience. i busted out my melissa wine glass and we made an easy dinner.
