friday off school, new phone, flu shots
our pumpkin family has found a happy little home on our deck :)
i finished this book this week and i loved it! if you are looking for a good non-fiction read.
it was nice to have a lazy morning on friday. after lounging around in front of the tv, the kids played with simone and theolonius (our neighbors) outside for a while. in the afternoon we went to vanessa and ewan's for more outdoor fun :)
also on friday i got a new phone! i had my other one for almost 3 years with a cracked screen for 2 of those years, so i was thrilled to replace it. i'm really happy with my new motorola: a bigger, more vibrant screen, a nicer camera, and fun new emojis i was lacking before. ha! the kids were pretty excited about it too.
saturday morning azalea had a soccer scrimmage, so i dropped her off and ran some errands in interbay (parents aren't allowed to stay due to covid). we mostly hung out at home the rest of the day. thatcher made a pumpkin cake with maple frosting that was delish!
we watched "pets united" for a movie night after dinner.
sunday we hung out at home in the morning and then after lunch we went to bartell drugs for our flu shots. it was the first time we all went together, and even more monumental - it was the first time that no one cried! woo hoo! they were so proud of themselves and got to pick out a treat after.
we spent the rest of the rainy sunday at home. thatcher made ribs with an asian marinade, which came out great! now onto another week..
