this week at home: neighborhood bike rides, ballard businesses, the rainbow connection
7 weeks down! we still don't know if the "stay at home" order is going to continue past may 4th or not, but even if it lifts, i know life still won't feel normal again for a long time.
we kept busy this week with school, baking, and playing. the weather was mostly nice (though super windy!), so we were able to spend more time outside again. we took the bikes out twice last weekend to ride around the neighborhood and it was really fun. thatcher took this picture and i love it!
azalea brought home that clipping and we put it by the window
over the weekend, i walked down to the business district to pick up takeout for dinner one night. this is what most of the store fronts look like right now. it's depressing, but i love that local artists have made cheery murals.
and another sign of the times...this is my new look when i go out
on the baking front, thatcher made homemade bagels for the first time and they were so good! he made plain, cinnamon sugar, and everything. i'm already dreaming about having them again! azalea also made funfetti cupcakes and we delivered some to our friends.
wednesday night there was the most beautiful rainbow!
hope you are all hanging in there the best you can. this too shall pass!
