grandma cheryl and grandpa durant's visit

thatcher's parents were in town from last wednesday to monday of this week and it was so nice to have them here to visit again. they stayed at an air bnb just 1 block away from our new place. we could have accommodated them here, but one bathroom for six people probably would have been tricky ;) 

we had fun exploring ballard with them and going out to eat. cheryl and i visited goodwill, which is one of her favorite activities (mine too!). they got to help pick up the kids from school each day and see their class rooms. thatcher took his parents and azalea to the east side over the weekend, including bellevue and redmond for the first time. thatcher and i got to have a date night on saturday night out for thai dinner in phinney ridge. i don't have many pictures from their visit, but here are a few:

it was especially helpful to have them here as ashford was having some chest pains that were giving him a lot of anxiety, so we went to quite a few appointments over the last few days to figure out how to help him. the doctor thinks he has something called costochronditis, which is harmless pain in the chest wall. we are hopeful that he will start feeling better soon both physically and mentally.
