azalea turns 8

another birthday for my girl! they just keep coming in rapid succession, don't they? i felt like years 1-5 were so distinct from one another, but this 6-10 business all sort of blurs together. what an honor it is to get to experience being her mom. she's such a happy kid. she's kind to her peers, she is a good helper and listener (most of the time), she loves trying new activities and new foods. she has a fierce love/hate relationship with her brother :) 

this past year she won a humanitarian award at school, started 2nd grade, developed a love for unicorns, emojis, and thai food, mastered riding a 2 wheel bike, played soccer on a team, got an expander and braces, and made some new friends. whew!

i can't wait to see what the next year brings.
