pumpkin patch kind of weekend
friday night thatcher had a work happy hour, and the kids and i just hung out at home.
saturday morning we headed to bailey farm in snohomish (about an hour from seattle) to get some pumpkins! we stopped at a cute bakery in bothell on the way for coffee and pastries. it was our third time going to bailey farm since we've lived here and it's our favorite pumpkin patch. it's small and never very busy, it keeps to the basics (pumpkins, apples, some tire swings, kettle corn, hay bales) and you only have to pay for any pumpkins/apples you buy. here are some pictures from our morning:
we hung out at home for the rest of the day. i made apple crisp after dinner with our picked apples...and i was the only one who ate it ;)
sunday was pretty low key. thatcher took the kids to brickcon (lego convention) at seattle center in the morning. we all went last year and it was really cool, but i decided to sit this one out. instead i had a morning to myself in ballard. i read my book at java bean and drank a cafe vienna, got my hair trimmed at the walk-in place on market street (i was in and out in 10 mins!), walked through the farmers market, stopped in buffalo exchange, and grabbed a sandwich from jimmy johns for lunch. all that in 2 hours! ha. we pretty much hung out at home the rest of the day after they got back.
this coming weekend is my momcation getaway to oak harbor on whidbey island. to say i'm excited would be an understatement!
