baby #2: week 36
november 25 - december 1
what has been going on this week: we had a busy week with dog sitting, thanksgiving, getting our tree/decorating, and nursery progress! can't believe my due date is under a month away now!
size of baby: he weighs around 6 pounds and measures almost 19 inches long. the size of a head of lettuce . how on earth do babies that big fit in your belly? :)
maternity clothes: i finally tried on some maternity clothes my friend dani handed down to me, so i feel like i have some new clothes for the next month. yay!
purchases: lots of little stuff like frames for artwork, storage baskets and bins, etc.
nursery: the nursery is so close to being done. the rug was delivered last wednesday and i love it! all that's left to do is hang some artwork and shelves. here is your last sneak peek before i do a full post on the finished nursery in the next couple weeks:
symptoms: lots of braxton hicks contractions and a few more painful ones that have woken me up in the night. things are getting real!!
movement: he is running out of room, but still pretty active!
gender: little man!
food cravings/aversions: i was way too excited about thanksgiving food this week. we never cook that kind of food at home, so it was really exciting to me! also, i've been eating a million clementines lately. yum!
morning sickness: still that liiiiitle bit of nausea in the morning. one thing i won't miss about pregnancy.
what i miss: i'm looking forward to being back in my regular body. well, after i deal with the fun post-partum one. haha.
best moment of the week: thanksgiving and the kicking off of the holiday season!
what thatcher is saying: he is worried about wrapping up stuff at work before he will (likely) have to leave with little notice for a week.
sleep: i had the worst night of sleep over the weekend. i not-so-wisely ate spicy chili for dinner and then had a piece of pie about 15 minutes before going to bed. i ended up with the worst heartburn from 1:30-3:00am. i couldn't sleep through it, so i had to get up and sit upright for a while.
what i'm looking forward to: these last few weeks before he comes will be filled with lots of holiday fun and soaking up being a family of 3.
doctor: had my 36 week appointment today and it went well. everything is still looking good with me and baby and there is a little bit of progress starting, so yay! (sorry if that's tmi...i feel a little weird putting it on here, but i wanna remember) ;)

Ugh...I totally had a bout of heartburn with Alexa and thought I was going to DIE - it's so uncomfortably painful!
