what has been going on this week: thatcher started his new job, family dinner out with my parents (nico's taco bar again - haha!), my company "summer" party, lambs group with azalea
size of baby: he weighs a pound and a half and measures 13.5 inches long. the size of a rutabaga!
maternity clothes: i need to find a way to wear my new maternity leggings every day. they are sooooo comfy. i think i will keep them around after baby is born because they do not have a belly panel. getting tired of my shirt selection, however, and i have a long ways to go.
symptoms: the usual: broken out skin, hungry and tired a lot, braxton hicks contractions
movement: i've been feeling little feet pushing on my belly, it's so fun! one day it was right on the other side of my belly button, that must have been interesting to him :)
gender: baby BOY!
food cravings/aversions: cravings = jimmy john's veggie subs, guacamole, chai tea lattes. apple crisp. aversions = nothing really!
morning sickness: still that liiiiitle bit of nausea in the morning. yep, still...
what i miss: not worrying about this placenta thing. some days i tell myself "everything is going to be fine, those complications are rare" other days it's "why should i think i'll be more lucky than the moms who have complications? we all have an equal chance of it happening" siiigh.
best moment of the week: getting to use the carpool lane on the way to work now (i drop off thatcher at his new job). it's the little things!
what thatcher is saying: he suggested a name that he was really excited about, but it would need some major convincing for me...
sleep: usually 1 potty break each night. sleeping exclusively on my sides now (as recommended) is making my arms fall asleep and my legs ache, which is not fun. i've tried using some extra pillows to prop myself up and it seems to be helping.
what i'm looking forward to: seeing baby boy again via ultra sound on oct. 9th! grow baby grow!
