friday night azalea and i had a frozen yogurt date with diana. we walked about a mile to the frozen yogurt shop near our house. it was only my second time going this summer, which shocks me. i ate frozen yogurt like it was going out of style last summer! i forgot to take a picture, but just imagine me eating like 6 different kinds of yogurt with 8 or so random toppings piled on. because that's how i roll. luckily azalea was down with my combination. :) it was nice to catch up with diana and take a walk on a beautiful night.
saturday morning azalea and i met up with dawn and her girls, alexa and lilli at the powderhorn art fair. we had fun playing at the park, watching a puppet show, and looking at the booths. oh, and dawn's husband works for the park, which meant vip treatment for us in the form of free food and drinks. yum! it was fun to hang out with them, and we would have stayed longer, but azalea was due for a nap.
in the afternoon, i had my first ever massage while pregnant. it was my mother's day gift (before i knew i was pregnant), and i wasn't sure if the spa did pre-natal, but i called to check and luckily they did! i got to lay on those funny contoured pillows, so i could be on my belly. the massage was wonderful! it was only my third massage ever, so i get pretty excited. happy mother's day to me! :)
in the evening, we attended the annual summer festival at the park by our house. live music, food vendors, games, etc. we walked up there with our neighbors and also met up with thatcher's sister and our nephew. the kids spent lots of time at the park and got to go in a fire truck. well, jack did. azalea decided she wanted nothing to do with the fire truck after some kid accidentally honked the horn and made every one (including us) jump out of our skin for a second. haha. but it was a fun night. i love my neighborhood! and our national night out block party is tomorrow night!
saturday night my weekend went down hill. every one at work has been sick for the past few days and i think i finally caught it. mostly a cold, but colds completely knock me on my butt when i'm pregnant. i spent most of the night tossing and turning. in the morning, thatcher was nice enough to take azalea on some errands, so i could get a bit more sleep. they came home for a while and then thatcher had to go volunteer at the uptown art fair. luckily azalea napped for most of the time he was gone (annnd so did i). my mom offered to come take azalea to their house to play for a while, so that was also nice. being sick in the summer is prettty lame!
