the best part of waking up....is not a brick through your car windshield

yesterday morning, azalea and i headed outside to leave for the day. i saw a brick sitting on the sidewalk near our car, and thought it was a little strange, but didn't think much of it. i got her into her car seat and all of a sudden she was pointing to the windshield and asking "what's dat?" i could not believe my eyes. the entire front windshield was bashed in, in 2 spots. the windshield had not broke through completely, but there were little shards of glass all over the dashboard and front seat. i ran in the house to tell thatcher, who was just as surprised as i was! we're pretty sure it was just some random jerk in the night looking to cause trouble. we couldn't think of anyone who would target us directly. :) no other cars on our block appeared damaged, so i guess we were just the unlucky ones. thankfully the only part of the car damaged was the windshield, which means it will be covered by insurance. we have a garage and use it all the time in the winter, but usually leave the car out front in the warm weather. not anymore! not a fun start to our thursday, but i'm thankful it was not our house and that no one was hurt. what is wrong with people?! as of today, our windshield has been replaced! yay!

Oh no, how terrible! I am glad it was just your windshield and not you or your family. Things can be fixed. Don't let it ruin your day girlfriend!

This happened to us once, too - windshield and the two windows on the drivers side. I saw teenagers near the car after it happened, but since I didn't actually SEE them do anything to the car, then the police couldn't bust them. Sooo annoying. Sorry this happened to you, but glad you were able to get it fixed pretty quickly!

Seriously? Ugh, what is wrong with some people? So sorry this happened! Glad your car is okay though!
We still find shards of glass in Jesse's car and it was broken into over two years ago. It's so annoying. Yes, insurance covers it....but it's such a pain to have take care of. Sorry you were the targets of this. People are dumb. Ugh.
so awful! :( had it happen to my windshield back in my tiny hometown of < 2,000. it's just mean.
