blogger hang out, shopping, wading pool

friday night i got together with a bunch of the blogger girls at becky's house. we all brought an appetizer or dessert and just hung out for the evening. it was really fun and laid back. for much of the night, we played "cards against humanity" out on the deck. if you haven't played that game, it's basically a dirty/inappropriate version of apples to apples....so funny!!! i hope no one felt excluded from this get together. the only reason for the limited invite list was because it was held at becky's home, and she felt most comfortable keeping it to the bloggers who she has gotten to know in person. (i would feel the same way).

there was soooo much good food!

kelly and i sportin' our bumps :)

the whole group

saturday morning azalea and i spent some time at my parents' and then ran a couple errands. thatcher wasn't feeling the best, so i wanted to get her out of the house so he could rest. we came back for lunch, then azalea and thatcher both took naps and i had a little solo shopping trip to old navy. i would have to say it was quite successful for me (and azalea) :)

after nap time, our friends becky, jeromy, their daughter linnea, and jackie and her son gavin joined us for a trip to the wading pool. the kiddos had lots of fun at the pool (and the park after)! i think we successfully tired them all out.

sunday was another relaxing day. we woke up to stormy skies and ended up lounging around in our pajamas for the first couple hours of the day (which we never do anymore). it was nice! we ran some errands, then ate lunch and put azalea down for her nap. thatcher and i were super tired too, so we laid down...next thing i know thatcher is nudging me saying "we should probably get up....it's been almost 3 hours." what the what? we got azalea up and took her to the wading pool. yep, again! she asks to go almost everyday and we figure why not? it's super close to our house, free, and she loves it! plus summer will be over before we know it :(

we hung out at home the rest of the evening until thatcher went to a meeting. i relaxed on the couch once azalea went to bed. i'll take it! daycare is closed this week (planned vacation), so azalea is spending lots of time with the grandparents. we are so thankful to have them available as back up!

The blogger get together looks like so much fun. I think it is so neat how blogs turn strangers into real life friends! I love Cards Against Humanity. It's SO terrible but also the funniest game I have ever played!

I've never played Cards against Humanity - but, I'm anxious to try it after all the rave over it at the get-together. So bummed I couldn't be there, but glad you all had fun.

Sounds like the weekend was equal parts fun and relaxing - perfect!

Thanks for coming on Friday! Great to see you and the bump in real life :) I would randomly think about your German dungeon porn addiction and start giggling to myself - that game was the best!

Glad the rest of your weekend was enjoyable!

I have walked passed your house so many times in the past two weeks! My sister said she was walking Otis and you guys were by the window and came out to say hi! She was the lucky one! Now I'm like the big creep who looks at your window to see if you are home... hahaha. But in all seriousness, I LOVE the pool and would so love to go and play with Azalea sometime! Text me 612-432-6107 next time you go! <3 Dannie
