pizza party, mn zoo, kingfield farmer's market

friday night we headed over to our friends diana and jim's for dinner. diana had told me about this pizza oven they have that attaches to a charcoal grill, so i knew we had to come try it out :) we made a bunch of yummy pizzas that finished cooking right as it started to downpour. whew! then, shortly after dinner the power went out from the crazy winds! we spent the rest of the night hanging out by candle light and diana even made us dessert with a flashlight headband. haha! it was fun to hang out with them and we're looking forward to having them over to our place next. the only live about a mile from us, but our power was on when we got home.

saturday morning we met up with sarah, micah, and aubrey at the minnesota zoo! i've gotten together with sarah and aubrey a couple times, but this was the first time we added our hubbys to the mix. it was a lot of fun! it wasn't the nicest morning weather-wise, but the rain stayed away and we were able to enjoy a couple hours outside looking at all the animals. thanks again for meeting up with us!

uncle anders came over in the afternoon to hang out for a while because the power had been out at his apartment for a long time. he and thatcher headed out for the evening and azalea and i went to my parents' for dinner. it ended up being a beautiful night out on their patio. we came home, i got azalea down for bed, and i popped in les miserables (one of my favs!)

sunday morning we had planned to bike to lyndale open streets, but the weather was not so great, so we decided not to risk getting caught in the rain. instead we headed to the kingfield farmer's market, where we met up with jeromy, becky, and linnea. we got a delicious thai breakfast bowl from our favorite place (gai gai thai) and walked around for a bit.

during azalea's nap i cleaned and may have watched les mis again. haha. when she got up, i took her to the wading pool. she was quite the little dare devil there...and she was not fazed by swallowing and coughing up huge gulps of water. oh boy! sunday night we headed to our friends liz and joe's for a bbq, which means we successfully avoided cooking dinner for ourselves all weekend. ha! it was a gorgeous night spent playing outside and enjoying time with them. why can't summer last forever?
