it's been another fun week of summer. well i guess technically summer starts today, but the weather has been summer-like all week and we took advantage of it. this weekend we have a couple get togethers with friends and we're going to lyndale open streets. should be fun! hope you have a great weekend. 

a quick update on my dad: he had a scan on tuesday and saw his doctor yesterday. while his cancer did not spread anywhere new (thank goodness!), his current tumors did grow a little bit, which means the drug they have him on is no longer working. the plan now is to switch him to a new drug (that comes in pill form) and try that for a couple months. interestingly he has a rare gene mutation, so there isn't a lot of data on how effective it might be for him, but we are optimistic. the doctor said this was to be expected and he has a few other options that he can try. as always, your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated!
