mn blogger cooking class

recap time! friday night was another blogger meet up, this time for a cooking class. i mentioned before that andrea's mom does cooking classes out of her home, so that's where it was held. the house was way up in columbus, mn about 40 minutes north of minneapolis. we had a smaller than normal group this time, but it was fun and kind of nice for this type of get together. no newbies came this time (we wanna meet you ladies!)

the class was really laid back...it was basically a bunch of stations set up around a huge island with ingredients and recipes for each dish. we paired up and got to work. brittany was my cooking buddy and we made a cheeseburger salad. andrea's mom walked around and helped us when necessary.

we messed up a few things, but it still turned out yummy :) 

once all of the dishes were complete, we had a feast. everything was so good! 

chicken caesar salad pizza, lettuce wraps, blt pasta salad, and cheeseburger salad. can you guess the theme? :) 

for dessert we had baked tortillas with cinnamon sugar, strawberries, and a chocolate cool whip dip. yum! 

somewhere along the line, this group of girls has adopted channing tatum as our "mascot", if you will. at the last get together, andrea made a couple "chan fans" and ever since, we all decided we needed one, so she made mini chan fans for each of us who came. love it!

it was so much fun to hang out with these ladies, as always. our next get together is a yoga class/lunch that is going to be at powderhorn park on may 11th. can't wait! if you are a blogger and you haven't come before, we would love to meet you! thanks again andrea and jess for sharing your pics. they came out much better than mine!
