happy hour, blogger play date, brownies
not a ton of pictures for you on this monday, but that's actually a good thing because it means i did a lot of relaxing this weekend :)
friday night the company i work for co-hosted a happy hour for attendees of a nonprofit technology conference, which we attended thursday and friday. i did most of the planning of the event and since we didn't require people to rsvp, i wasn't really sure how many people would show up. we rented a room at the local (irish pub downtown) and imagine my surprise when we had close to 200 people come through over a 2.5 hour time frame. wow! it was such a blast and i could not believe the turn out. it's almost like people like free booze or something....;)
saturday morning we ran some errands and then i got a much-needed hair cut. after azalea's nap, she and i met up with sarah and her daughter aubrey at southdale to hang out and get the girls together for the first time. it was crazy in the play area as usual, but we had a lot of fun!

we spent the evening at home making dinner (and brownies!) and watching a movie after azalea went to sleep.
sunday morning azalea and i met up with our friend diana at sovereign grounds coffee shop. i can't believe it didn't know about this place! it's a coffee shop with a side room full of toys, a play house, and a slide... perfect for toddlers! azalea had a blast and diana and i actually got to sip our drinks and chat. nothing short of a miracle! :) i'll definitely be going back. in the afternoon, thatcher, azalea, and i all took naps then azalea and i went over to thatcher's parents' to hang out for a bit. it was one of those days where the weather was crappy (will it ever stop snowing?!) and we needed a change of scenery. thatcher had a meeting sunday night, so i just did some cleaning and relaxing. the end!
