she's officially 2!

ok, lots of posts about azalea this week, but this doubles as her baby book, so no surprise there! i switched my day off to yesterday to spend it with her for her birthday. she started the day off right by sleeping until 7:15, which was glorious! in the morning, we headed to her 2 year old check up at the doctors office. she is at the age where she knows the doctors office is a place she doesn't like, so it made things interesting. they had her stand on the scale for the first time (in opposed to the infant scale). she was fine with that, but when they wanted her to stand against the wall to measure her height, she completely freaked out. only my child! haha. here were her stats:

weight: 25 lbs, 1 oz (25%)
height: 34'' (50%) - this was probably not too accurate considering the flailing around
basically she is still long and lean!

the rest of the appointment went pretty well. her doctor is so good with her and even checked out her baby doll's eyes and ears before doing azalea's :) then it came time for her shot. thankfully only one this time. she burst into tears when it went in and cried for a couple minutes, but then she was fine. we thought were were done, but then the nurse came back and apologized that she forgot to do a routine blood draw. oof! we were fully expecting another freak out, but azalea was cool as a clam through the whole thing. didn't even flinch and watched them take the blood from her finger. what the heck?! i hate blood draws much more than shots. haha. then we were on our way!

thatcher went back to work, and azalea and i met kelli at midtown global market for lunch. it was delicious as usual and a fun treat!

nice face azalea...and it looks like we are in a storage room, but we aren't :)

we had a quiet night at home with just the 3 of us. we had dinner and leftover cake from the party. perfection! now onto life with a 2 year old!

someone was excited for cake again!

So cute! :) I love that she didn't want to get her height measured. SO CUTE. Also - leftover cake is one of my favorite things in life. HAHAHAHA!
