applebees?

azalea has a new favorite word lately...it's "applebees". thatcher and i find this hilarious for a few reasons. 1. we have never eaten at an applebees with her or without her (and probably not for the last 7 years for that matter). 2. we don't ever talk about applebees. i have a few ideas: she might have seen a commercial? but i still think it's weird that she would be so fixated on the word. or...someone at daycare (either jean or one of the kids) has been talking about it. either way, we think it's so random and funny! we've tried asking her what "applebees" is, but she just continues to repeat it. mainly recording this here so i don't forget. :) has your toddler ever surprised you by talking about something you had no idea how they heard about?

How random! I love hearing the things my nieces and nephews come up with. They crack us up constantly by saying things you wouldn't think they would know how to say/or the meaning of them!

Hilarious!! At least it's applebees and not some other inappropriate word. Kids are sponges at this age - she could have heard it anywhere - and it just 'stuck'! :) Cute!

That's adorable! Aubrey used to say "Oh Shoot" all the time and we thought she learned it from daycare. ha!

Ha! What a character! It's so much fun having an (almost) two year old who says the funniest things, right?? The other day Rosemary ran into Adam's room and started demanding "choc-late" over and over. Applebees though...that is too cute!

the other night avrie randomly said "ha-coo-ta-ta" while eating dinner.... we quickly figured out that she was say hakunamata.... hasnt watched lion king for over a week-at least! we kaughed so hard at this!!
