a tuesday night date

last night, thatcher and i had a little date night. it was actually quite the date night for a tuesday. ;) i dropped off azalea at my parents' for a sleepover because we knew we'd be getting back later than my parents would want to stay up. i picked up thatcher from work and we went out for thai at kinsen in uptown. i had never been there before, it was really good. and they played christmas music, so that scored some extra points. haha.

after dinner, we headed downtown to first ave to see of monsters and men. you might remember we saw them last spring at the fine line. it was a great show and we were excited to see they were coming back in town again. i bought tickets right when they went on sale, and i'm glad i did because they sold out really fast. last night's show was just as amazing! they are such great performers, and their songs are so so good live and just give you a major high. every song they played, i thought to myself, this is my favorite! over and over. haha. the best part was the show was over by 9:30 and we were home by 10:00.

it's my day off, but thatcher had to work this morning. i picked up azalea at my parents' and they said she had a blast. she even snuggled with my mom in bed this morning, which my mom said was "worth a million bucks" :)
