halloween party, brunch with friends, neighborhood pumpkin patch

friday night we took azalea to the southwest community ed family halloween party. most of you know, thatcher and i met while working for community ed back back in the day, so we love taking azalea to all the activities we used to work at. she sported a pumpkin costume. not just any pumpkin costume, though, the exact one her mama wore as a toddler (and her uncle! and at least one of my cousins). it's sort of legendary in our family :) and she couldn't have looked cuter. there's also a little stem hat, but no child in the history of the world has ever been on board with wearing it. haha. we didn't stay long at the party as it doesn't even start til 7pm, but it was fun! we saw azalea's buddy evelyn there. look how much they've grown in a year!

saturday morning i had brunch with my high school friends anna and michelle at common roots. it was good to see them and catch up. i'm trying to convince both of them to come to our 10 year reunion (which is in nov), but they aren't thrilled about the idea. haha. in the afternoon, we went to get a pumpkin at a church near our house that sells pumpkins every year for a fundraiser. azalea wouldn't sit for any pictures, but i did manage to get some cute ones!

always on the move...

we stopped over at thatcher's parents' for an overdue visit with them. then home for dinner. we watched a movie after azalea went to sleep. 

sunday i mostly hung around the house because i wasn't feeling great. i hoped to get our pumpkin carved, but that didn't happen. oh well, at least we still have a couple days. my parents came over for dinner and the weekend was a wrap!
