olympics, cannon valley trail, pizza luce preview

friday night was the olympic opening ceremony! i always love watching it. we had it on for a while before azalea went to sleep, but she wasn't super into it. haha. we watched the rest after she went to sleep. i'm looking forward to watching some sports over the next couple weeks! 

saturday we had another mini-road trip day. we drove down to cannon falls (an hour south) to bike the cannon valley trail with my former boss karen (still feels weird to say that!) and her family. it was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. i think it was azalea's 4th time in the trailer. she did pretty well. just like with riding in the car, she is not a fan of stopping. she is also not a fan of getting out and having to go back in the trailer, as we learned. she cried for quite a while, but luckily got over it. here are some pics from our ride:

the rest of the day was spent hanging out at home. azalea took a nice long nap, we made jucy lucys for dinner and thatcher and i watched a movie after she went to sleep for the night. 

sunday started off gloomy and rainy. the whole fam took a trip to the grocery store and then i stopped at the paint store to pick up some paint samples for our shutters and front door. this is a project we've been talking about all summer. trying to actually make it happen (however, my new curtains i bought weeks ago are not hung yet, so don't hold your breath waiting on this project) :)

after lunch, azalea and i picked up my mom and went to visit my grandma at the nursing home. i'm happy to report she gets to go home on tuesday after nearly 6 weeks of transitional care. for dinner we went to the soon-to-be new pizza luce in richfield. we loooove pizza luce and i've been stalking their facebook page for months, so when i saw they had a sign up to come have dinner as part of their pre-opening, we jumped on it. the new restaurant is awesome, the food was amazing (as always), and we can't wait to actually be in their delivery zone!
