ch ch ch changes (at work)

a few posts back, i alluded to a change at work that got some readers a little worried. sorry i was so vague (i hate when people do that!). ha. the change is that my boss of 6 years (who has been at the company for 9) is leaving this week for a job at another company. i'm going to miss her so much, but i know this is a great opportunity for her. at first i wasn't sure what it would all mean for me. a promotion? a new person gets hired to fill her position? i found out that i'm being promoted to marketing manager (from my current position of marketing coordinator)! this is going to be a huge change to my day to day responsibilities, but i'm thankful for the challenge. i'm flattered that my boss and the ceo have the confidence in me to offer me this position. there will be a lot of learning that comes with it, but that is the case with any new job. best of all, i'll still have my 4 day/week schedule and for that i am very thankful! wish me luck!
