a move, a date, a wading pool

our weekend didn't start out with a whole lot planned, but we ended up doing quite a bit of stuff! my weekend actually started a few hours early. it was quiet at work on friday afternoon, so on a whim i decided to just take the last couple hours off and go shopping by myself (which i never get to do these days!). i went to southdale hoping to find a swim suit for the 4th, but that didn't happen. but i did get some sunglasses to replace mine that azalea broke and this cute skirt from loft for only $15!

i was excited when i got home to find that my second blog book had arrived! i have my blog printed by blog2print. (the first book i did was my pregnancy with her). i'm not sure how many more of these i will do, but i am so happy she will have them for the future. if she's anything like me, she will love them. i will also do it for any future kids. friday night we just hung out at home and watched a movie after azalea went to sleep. i may have slept through most of it! haha.

saturday morning i helped my good from from high school, mollie move into the new house she and her husband bought. it was pretty easy because they had about 12 people helping and luckily being a girl, i got out of moving furniture and super heavy stuff (don't mind playing the girl card in those situations at all!) ha! azalea stayed home with thatcher and she was napping when i got home, so i decided to take a little snooze on the couch until she woke up. saturday night was interesting...i got a call about some work related changes. they have been weighing on my mind heavily ever since. my parents had offered to watch azalea, so thatcher and i took them up on that and went out for dinner to a restaurant near their house called rice paper. we planned to go for walk after dinner since it was such a a beautiful night, but thatcher wasn't feeling well, so we went back.

sunday my mom and i took azalea to church. she did really well, i was surprised! she sat nicely in my lap or in front of us on the floor for almost the whole service. probably was a fluke, but i can dream, right? :) also, some of this cuteness happened...

in the afternoon, my parents came over so we could all take azalea down to the wading pool for the first time this summer! she loved it! in fact, she loved it so much that she wanted to keep going head first into the water, but that didn't work so well :) i think she swallowed a little bit of chlorine today. oops!

i looove this picture :)

after swimming, my mom and i took her to the nursing home to see my grandma. (she is going through rehab there after her stroke). unfortunately azalea is a little bit frightened by my grandma. i'm not sure why, but it makes me sad. anyway, i was glad we went to see her! we had dinner over at my parents' last night and then called it a night pretty early
