easter recap

azalea celebrated her first "second holiday" yesterday (i know, you are shocked that i think about these things). :) last year she was 4 weeks old on easter. hard to believe! this is your fair warning that you will be seeing a lot of "last year on this day" pictures from me in future posts.

my little hunny bunny...i can hardly remember her being so tiny!

while she was a lot more alert this year, she still didn't have any idea what was going on :) but i was determined for her to have the full easter experience. starting with the easter bunny stopping by our house for the first time...

he brought her egg-shaped chalk, a watering can (to help daddy in the garden), and an easter book.

it took some convincing for her to actually pay attention to what was in the basket, but then when i tried to get a picture of her, she was too busy.

azalea and me before church

azalea, my mom, and i went to the 11:00 service at church. she refused to nap before we went, so i was a little nervous how church would go down, but it ended up okay. she was her usual busy self for the first 40 minutes and then she totally crashed on me for the last 20 minutes. silly girl.

after church (and finally a nap), we went to my best friend kelli's for her family's easter egg hunt. so nice of them to invite us! again, azalea didn't know what was going on, but we helped her find some eggs and then i ate the chocolate inside. i suppose i'll only be able to get away with that for so many years.

kelli and azalea...pretty in pink!

after that, we made our way to my aunt and uncle's house for another egg hunt and dinner. azalea was sort of tired and cranky at this point, so we snapped a couple pictures and then sent her inside.

i'm not gonna name any names, but someone wasn't super into the family pic

we had a delicious dinner of ham, potatoes, corn, salad, bread and more. we relaxed with the relatives for a while and then called it an evening. she was in bed by 6:45 and asleep by 7! thatcher and i ended the night by starting on our basement clean up project. (maybe i'll be brave and post before and after pictures later).

Azalea is precious!! We had so much fun pretending Jaxon knew what was going on this Easter haha! He had a basket that he was only halfway interested in. I think we parents have more fun than the kids with these first few holidays :-)
