people warned us that when you have a baby (especially one that is in daycare) you're going to get sick...a lot. they weren't kidding! i think since the beginning of october at least one person in our family has been sick at any give time. lots of colds, strep for thatcher last month, and a stomach virus for me this week. not fun! i've never been sick so much in my life. usually 1 or 2 colds per year, and that's it. luckily azalea hasn't had anything more than a cold.
yesterday i woke up with a horrible stomach ache. i felt a little better after i got ready for the day, so i took azalea to daycare and headed in to work. i only made it an hour there before i decided to go back home again because i felt like crap. i spent the entire day/evening on the couch, stomach in knots. at one point i almost felt like i was going to pass out. i got light headed, had chills and sweats at the same time, and my arms went numb. i freaked out because i was home alone! i laid down in case i did pass out and then called thatcher and begged him to come home. he was able to and i was so thankful! normally he has a million meetings, but he didn't yesterday. by evening, my stomach felt ok, but my entire body ached and i just felt weak. thatcher was able to pick up azalea from daycare and take care of her most of the night, because i was completely useless. :( i went to bed at 9:15 and i'm feeling much better today. i felt bad missing one of my two days of work this week, but what can you do?
i'm just ready for a break from the sickies! but i fear one won't come until spring.
