busy busy

july was (i originally wrote "has been" not realizing it's not july anymore!) a busy month for us! that must be why summer always tends to fly by. here are a few things we've been up to that i haven't had a chance to blog about:

we went to a 1st birthday party for our friends' missy and nate's little boy, cameron. 1st birthdays are the best...especially when the birthday boys cries because he has sticky frosting on his hands while eating his cake. adorable. 

our nephew, jack turned 4! we celebrated his birthday with thatcher's family. jack and his parents are moving to new york in september. we're going to miss them! (and yes, that's a rib cage cake - made by his uncle thatcher). jack is really into the human body these days. :)

my aunt and 2 cousins came to visit from georgia. they come every summer and it's always nice to see them. here is my cousin, lindsey meeting azalea for the first time. shout out to her blog, beloved cocoa.

last weekend we went on a little picnic with our neighbor, rebekah (and her dog, chester). unfortunately her hubby, ryan was out of town. we went to the rose gardens and it was gorgeous out. a great way to spend a saturday afternoon!
