mothers day

i had a great 1st mother's day. it's crazy to think last year at this time i wasn't even pregnant yet. it's so true that you don't fully understand how much your mom loves you until you have a child of your own. i have more love for azalea than i ever could have imagined. there's nothing better than being the one who can (almost) always calm her down and the way she looks at me like she knows she's mine.

we started the day with a little play mat time...it's her new favorite activity.

we had thatcher's family over for brunch this morning. thatcher made us eggs, bacon, 2 kinds of muffins (from scratch!) and fruit. it was delicious!

someone got a little tired out from watching us eat

i thought we needed a little mom and azalea photo shoot...she was more interested in looking out the window. typical :)
