without getting too into the details...

i had my 32 week appointment yesterday and i talked to the nurse practitioner about all of my braxton hicks contractions and she didn't seem too concerned as long as they aren't intense or painful or regular. so that was good to hear. she decided to "check things out", though, just in case. turns out there is a little bit of progress happening a bit earlier than it should be, so she wants me to come back next week instead of waiting the normal 2 weeks, so she can check for any changes. she also told me no vigorous exercising and to keep any walking that i do to less than a half hour at a time. i hope i'm not headed towards bed rest because that would be no fun, but of course as long as baby girl comes out healthy, that's all that matters. she said it's hard to tell if this progress means anything or not. she said i could still easily go 41 weeks and have to be induced or it could mean i might go into labor early. she won't know until she checks again for changes.

sooo naturally this is making me worry about all that we have left to do! (finish the nursery, pick a name, get the rest of baby essentials, pack hospital bag, etc). my shower is this weekend (and i'm so excited for it!). at least i'll feel a little more ready after that. my relatives in nj sent us the stroller/carseat travel system we registered for, which is super exciting! now we can at least get baby home from the hospital :)

i'm sure i don't have much reason to worry. but i'll feel much better if i get the important stuff done while i still can. baby girl, i am so excited to meet you...i just hope it doesn't happen for another 4-5 weeks!

ps- i was bored and added an "about me" page to the top of my blog. feel free to check it out!

Here's to hoping and praying that your sweet baby girl stays in her "home" for a few more weeks. Don't stress as God has the ultimate plan for you and your baby girl. Take care hun! Have a great weekend!!
