19 weeks and gender reveal

we had our big ultrasound yesterday afternoon and it was amazing! we got to see baby moving all around, its facial profile, limbs, heart, kidneys, etc. the tech said everything looked great, which is such a relief. i mean, just take a look at this sweet little profile shot:

 it was funny, the tech had trouble getting some of the pictures she needed. baby was hanging out really low in my uterus and refusing to move. stubborn already. :) she ended up bringing in another tech to help get baby to move so she could get pictures of the feet. after much man-handling of my stomach, they were successful. she told us she'd save the peek at the sex for the end (assuming we'd be able to see). Luckily we did see a view of baby's little butt and legs stretched out and it was pretty clear that there were no boy parts down there, so we're assuming...

obviously they can't tell you that with 100% certainty, but i think they are right most of the time. i'm a little nervous to go out and buy a ton of pink stuff, but i'll get over it :) we are thrilled. for whatever reason, everyone was convinced we were having a girl (hello poll!), so it's been fun to share the news. we have a couple baby girl names on our short list that we'll have to decide between, but we're going to keep the final decision a secret until she's born.

and now for some stats...at 19 weeks baby girl is about 6 inches long and weighs around half a pound. i can't stop looking at the ultrasound pictures we got. i love looking at her little face. i think she is so adorable. i'm in love! today kelli and i went shopping and i picked out a few cute outfits for baby, i couldn't help it :) and last but not least, here is the belly at 19 weeks:

i'm feeling large and in charge these days :)
