easter weekend

friday night we stayed in and watched a movie after azalea went to sleep. saturday morning azalea and i went to southdale for a bit. i wanted to look for some new pants for my work trip to san diego (next weekend! eeeee!). i figured i had roughly the amount of time it takes her to eat a snack cup full of crackers to get my shopping done (in peace). luckily i found cute pants right away at loft and we were done!

i also let her play in the play area, which she loves. after that, i went out for lunch with my former boss (and current friend) karen. we went to red cow, which is new place near 50th and france...super good! we also did a little shopping afterward. it was nice to spend time with her and catch up. saturday night thatcher and i stayed in again and watched another movie.

sunday we awoke to find that the easter bunny had visited :)

checking out her play doh, coloring book, and sand toys

up until saturday, i hadn't decided if i was gonna go to church or not because it tends to be sorta crowded and a fair amount of work taking azalea, but i decided to go. and i'm glad i did! azalea behaved pretty well and i love the easter service! i can't believe this was her third easter already!
1 month, 1 year, 2 years

we pretty much hung out at home until the late afternoon when we headed to my friend kelli's parents' house for an easter egg hunt. her family is like my second family, so i love going! azalea actually got the concept this year, which was really fun. it was a little chilly out, but we bundled up!

we left there and headed to thatcher's parents' house for dinner. it was a nice evening with them. azalea had a blast playing with her cousin jack and uncles anders. and i enjoyed getting to relax!

opening presents from grandma and grandpa...they are lucky (and loved!) kiddos

i hope you had a great easter as well!

Ahhh, I have to comment again on the clothes. ;) Alexa has the SAME Easter dress as Azalea in her 2 year pic. And that owl hat...Awww..makes me want Lilli to be little again. She loved that hat!

Looks like Azalea had fun on the Easter egg hunt. We kept our eggs INDOORS this year. There was way too much snow still up at my parents house.

Sounds like a great Easter. Glad you were able to enjoy church... sometimes I have that issue... even with a teen!

I always gage shopping with the toddler on how many snacks she can eat, too! It always seems to revolve around food. Haha.
